If you love movies the way I do, then you’re always on the hunt for a newfound gem you’ve never seen before or a chance to rent or purchase an immortal film classic at a fair price.
Of course, everyone has their own personal taste in films and if you’re like me, you’ve paid theater admission or rented a movie more than once just on the strength of a fellow moviegoer who’s opinion you trust. Generally I prefer word-of-mouth promotions over the conventional movie industry previews, which are crafted to seduce you into attending any premier whether it’s worth your while or not.
Fortunately in my case, the overwhelming majority of personally recommended movies I’ve watched have delivered the goods and were very satisfying. But there have been times I’ve been subjected to a movie I disliked so much that I felt like I got mugged after I put my money down.
Now, of course movie rental companies and movie theaters never rob anyone; they simply run whatever movie you’ve selected from their stock or what’s currently playing on the silver screen. It’s always up to the customer to beware; and as a movie lover who deeply believes in free choice, I’d never want it any other way. We always take a chance whenever we spend our precious time and money on the chance to enjoy a great movie.
That’s why this website is dedicated to presenting as much factual information about certain movie plots and movie sales availability as time permits. We also focus on several popular movie genres subject to constant information upgrades whenever possible.
And because I have opinions about movies like everyone else, you will find some editorial comments about specific films I’ve decided to summarize. But each genre section also carries a long list of movie titles and the year they were made for easier reference.
There are also internet links to reputable companies that sell many movies I suspect you’re already shopping for. As a regular theatergoer and online movie buyer myself, I invite you to inspect our movie genres, which are divided into eight specific sections: Comedy, Romance, Fantasy, Western, Drama, Horror, Science Fiction and Film Noir. As a fellow movie lover, I hope you find some information you can use.
